Has anyone ever thrown a false accusation at you that’s caused you to question whether or not it actually happened, or manipulated you into thinking a certain way? If so, you may have been the victim of a kind of behavior known as ‘gaslighting.’ From romantic relationships to the world of politics, gaslighting behavior can be found in many different aspects of life, and if left unchecked, can have serious consequences. We talk with a mental health counselor about the phenomenon of gaslighting, how it differs from other personality disorders, and what you can do if you have a gaslighter in your life.
