La Crosse County Heroin and Other Illicit Drug Task Force Part 1
In the fall of 2013, La Crosse County formed a special task force to deal with an increase in heroin and opiate-related drug overdoses. The group recently came out with a draft report of recommendations with the end goal of wiping out deaths caused by overdoses. In part one, we talk to our guests about who is using the drugs, share the experiences of a recovering addict and start talking about the recommendations.

We continue the discussion of the task force’s draft recommendations. There is also a discussion about how certain actions from the recommendations will be funded and what the average person can do to deal with the heroin issue in La Crosse County.
