February is African American History Month, and it is seen as an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of African Americans throughout history. In truth it is much more than that. By reliving and remembering history, we create an awareness of the past and current struggles that fuel the racial divide in our country. This is part 2 of a four-part series about the real and untold history of people of color. This lecture goes into topics such as: The global African presence, the science of melanin, the truth about the prison industrial complex, how thriving black economic communities were undermined in America and the hidden truth about Native Americans.
