The Greater Milwaukee Auto Show starts on Saturday and runs for the next 10 days, offering Wisconsinites to see vehicles they'll soon see on the roads.
Mark Savage, the auto reviewer for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, said he is excited about this year’s auto show as the event will be larger.
“The show this year has expanded and they’ll have a lot of interactive events. There’s something for everybody and there’ll be 2015 models there as well, and that’s fun for people to look at,” he said.
One car in particular blew Savage away when he attended the auto show in Chicago earlier this year.
“The new Mustang looks more modern and they really upgraded it," Savage said.
For 2014, Savage said he thinks people will be happy with what the automakers produced.
“There aren’t too many cars that were disappointing. The small SUV Subaru Forest has good visibility and the Mazda 3 has a great hatchback, and has great fuel efficiency with 35 to 37 miles a gallon," he said. "If you’re looking at high-end cars, the Lexus IS is a sporty-looking sedan and it’s better looking than the BMW. It has V6 engine, it looks nice, drives nice. It’s just a fun car.”
As for the future of cars, Savage said he has a good idea of what car makers will be producing.
“We’ll be seeing more electric cars,” he said.
