Governor Walker Calls For Tougher Measures To Slow Spread Of CWD
Governor Scott Walker is calling for stricter hunting and farming guidelines to slow the spread of chronic wasting disease, or CWD, in the state’s deer population. The neurological disease was first found in Wisconsin in Dane County 16 years ago. Since then, the state Department of Natural Resources says 53 counties are considered affected by CWD. We talk to Patrick Durkin about the proposed rules and the impact CWD has had in Wisconsin.
