The multi-billion dollar deal between Taiwan-based Foxconn Technology Group and Wisconsin seemed to be in jeopardy this week after the company said it would not manufacturer LCD screens at its Mount Pleasant facility. While the company reiterated its commitment to stay in the state, the news rattled state lawmakers. However, the company reversed course Friday, saying it would stick with its original plan. While the dust seems to have settled on the business deal for now, it did highlight other concerns facing the agreement, namely environmental issues surrounding the plant.
