Jails Challenged By More Inmates Experiencing Opioid Withdrawals
In 2013, the number of inmates in the Outagamie County Jail that experienced opioid withdrawal symptoms was 25. In 2017, it was 460. We talk with a reporter about what withdrawals are like for those in custody and how corrections officials are trying to adapt to the growing issue.
