Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton criticized Gov. Scott Walker’s record in Wisconsin during Thursday night’s Democratic presidential debate in Milwaukee.

Clinton blasted Walker several times, including on funding for higher education and attacks on unions. Clinton said she would help organized labor.

Vermont U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders criticized Republicans, but not Walker specifically.

Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch later defended her boss, noting it’s been five years since the passage of Act 10, the controversial law that curtailed public sector collective bargaining.

“What has happened here in Wisconsin has been terrific for the future of Wisconsin,” Kleefisch said.
