Wednesday, Sept. 19 was Carrie Kaufman’s last broadcast as host of "The Morning Show" on The Ideas Network. You’ll find a letter from Carrie to her listeners below. Please join us in wishing Carrie well during this difficult time.
Being at Wisconsin Public Radio and connecting with listeners and thinkers every morning has been one of the great joys of my life. Unfortunately after I arrived here, my mother’s health took a turn for the worse, and I would talk to her every night and think, “What are my priorities here?”
I’m kind of ashamed that it took me so long to figure out. But last week I finally realized that my priorities are not here in Wisconsin, but being with my mother as her health fails. I thank all the people here who welcomed me into their homes and hearts. I hope to meet you on the radio in the future. Go Packers!
"The Morning Show" will continue with long-time WPR fill-in host John Munson while options for a full-time replacement for Carrie are explored. We hope you’ll continue to tune in and share your thoughts with John and his guests.
