The Captivating Sound of Robyn Stapleton

By
Album Cover

Scottish singer Robyn Stapleton, awarded BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year in 2014, has become one of Scotland’s leading folk singers, performing traditional songs of her Scottish and Irish heritage, in the Scots, English and Gaelic language. I first heard Stapleton performing live in Edinburgh, Scotland in August of 2016. Her voice is rich, warm and beautiful and, it easily expressed the soul of Scottish and Irish music. I shared her CD with a few Celtic music performers here in the U.S. They were equally stunned by her lovely voice, passionate singing and ‘true to form’ interpretations of her homeland’s classic folk music. We all agree, she’s destined for the international stage. Brava Ms. Stapleton.
