Zorba’s Cooking School Benefit for WPR

By

Co-hosts of the health and lifestyle public radio program Zorba Paster On Your Health, Zorba Paster and Tom Clark, joined major donors of Wisconsin Public Radio for a heart-healthy cooking school and luncheon at Lombardino’s Italian Restaurant & Bar in Madison, WI.

Paster and Clark mingled with guests and signed copies of the Zorba Paster On Your Health cookbooks for excited donors.

Then, Lombardino’s head chef Patrick O’Halloran offered contributors a behind-the-scenes glimpse into his kitchen as he prepared Wood Grilled Salmon alla Puttanesca and Insalata.

The participants were then treated to a four-course lunch with the irreverent hosts and other members of WPR, including director Phil Corriveau.

Paster offered a lovely toast and plenty of insight on healthy eating as the lunch was served.

On Your Health’s executive producer Charles Monroe-Kane jumped at the opportunity to mingle with public radio supporters. “This is what public radio is all about. Getting together and sharing a glass of wine with not only a listener and contributor, but a friend.”

Co-host, and loveable curmudgeon, Clark echoed Chuck’s sentiments when he exchanged motorcycle stories with one donor.

“Just don’t tell your wife how fast you go,” quipped Clark.

At the end of the lunch, Corriveau presented Lombardino’s a plaque highlighting their ongoing friendship and support of Wisconsin Public Radio.

It’s a safe bet to say that a good time was had by all!

Zorba’s Toast:

“To help us forget some things…
Remember others…
And refresh the dry places in our spirit.”
