1 p.m. Saturday, May 20: “Romeo and Juliet,” by Charles Gounod. Romeo meets Juliet in a crowded ballroom, setting in motion a chain of events that will change both their families.
This is the most famous operatic setting of Shakespeare’s classic tale of star-crossed lovers, and features soaring arias, impassioned scenes and plenty of sword fights. You can read a synopsis of the opera here, and find out more about the cast and production.

1 p.m. Saturday, May 27: “The Magic Flute,” by Mozart. A prince, a princess, a bird-catcher and a host of other fascinating characters invite you into a world of charmed musical instruments, mystical rituals and a quest for enlightenment and wisdom.
Written in the last year of his life, Mozart’s opera is part fairy tale, part adventure story and all enchantment. Learn more about the production, story, and cast here.
