Packerland Theatre Organ Society Presents: Silent Films at the History Museum

The Packerland Theatre Organ Society and has set goals of preserving and promoting the art of the world's most powerful instrument the Theatre Organ. One of their main functions is to present the Theatre Organ historically as a accompaniment instrument to silent films. These powerful instruments under a skilled organist can bring out emotions critical to a sucessful movie going experience. More information at Packerland Theatre Organ Society

This film is the original Dracula vampire silent film with Frank Rippl performing on the Virtual Wurlitzer.

"The Golem"

In the film is a Halloween feature with live organ accompaniment.

"The Land of Oz"
January 26
6:30 p.m.
This series of silent films are in tribute to the musical production of "Wicked". This series was directed by Frank Baum, the author of the Wizard of Oz books.

Green Bay Film Society's Fall Film Fest

The Green Bay Film Society is a non-profit community group dedicated to bringing international and independent films to N.E. Wisconsin and to engaging in discussion of film. The Film Society, in conjunction with the Neville Public Museum of Brown County, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and St. Norbert College, sponsors the Green Bay International Film Series. The director will present this film on the lives of carnies and the roads they travel through Wisconsin.

"Pez Heads"

The documentary explores the phenomenon of Pez collecting through interviews with a variety of collectors and vendors.

"Mother of Mine"

The movie tackles the real-life drama of history set against the backdrop of World War Two.

Grand Opera House’s Screen Scene Series
Wisconsin Public Radio is a proud partner of the Screen Scene Film Series, designed to give audiences films they can talk about, and then provide the place to do just that. After the credits roll the audience enjoys a brief afterglow, featuring snacks and beverages and a discussion of the movie itself led by a local expert.
