Gubernatorial Inauguration
WPR carried live coverage of the Inauguration of Governor Jim Doyle and other state constitutional officers at the State Capitol. Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton, Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen, Secretary of State Doug La Follette, and State Treasurer Dawn Marie Sass were also sworn in.
This event pre-empted the last half-hour of the Larry Meiller program and the first airing of Chapter A Day. Chapter A Day is available for on-line listening at wpr.org and its regular evening rebroadcast at eleven pm on the Ideas Network.
