| Bullying is not a new problem for adolescents, but in the age of the internet and social media, it's more complex and tougher to combat. This hour, Joy Cardin and her guest discuss why kids bully one another and how to stop it. Plus, yesterday was the fifth annual "r-word day of awareness." We'll get an update from a guest about the nationwide campaign to abolish the "r-word."
Guests:
- Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate; a contributing writer at The New York Times, and the Truman Capote Fellow at Yale Law School. Author of "Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy."
- 9:45 pm: Christina Harris, Director of Communications for Special Olympics Wisconsin; Anna Olsen, AmeriCorp Member at Special Olympics Wisconsin leading their R-word campaign |
