| Therapy dogs are used more and more-in nursing homes, at colleges during finals, and even in Newtown, Connecticut to help the community grieve. Joy Cardin speaks to a therapy dog expert about the benefits of these animals and all the different jobs they can do.
Guest: Brian Mulligan, director of K-9 Buddies, an all-volunteer charity organization that trains and certifies therapy dogs. K-9 Buddies also promotes, organizes, and staffs cell dog programs and provides free public education presentations on matters pertaining to the human/domestic dog relationship, especially child safety. |
