| Oil is cheap now after a run-up to record high prices, but according to Joy Cardin's guest, after seven, that's not cause for celebration. He says low oil prices could end up hurting the U.S. economy, and keep us from seeking alternatives to oil.
Guest: Michael Klare, Professor of Peace and World Security Studies, Hampshire College. Author, "Blood and Oil: The Dangers and Consequences of America's Growing Dependency on Imported Petroleum". His piece on cheap oil appeared recently on Salon.com. |
