Though we don't often directly talk about it, death is something that ultimately affects us all. And historically...we're more isolated from death than ever before. In this hour, John Munson and his guest discuss our changing attitudes toward death, including the creation of bucket lists, the way we design our cemeteries, and the role of religion. Guest: Albert Hamscher, Kenneth S. Davis professor of history at Kansas State University, where he teaches the course "Death and Dying in History," which he developed.

Please note that the amount of time required to download a one-hour WPR program will vary depending on the speed of your internet connection. See the table (right) for estimated download times.

Once you click on the "Start Download Now" button below, the download dialog window may not appear for several seconds. Do NOT click on the button more than once or your download request may be refused.

When you start the download, several dialog boxes may appear on your screen:

If a "file download" box appears, simply click the "SAVE" button.
If a "Save-As" box appears, locate a folder where you want to save the MP3 program file and click "SAVE".
Some browsers will automatically save the file to a pre-determined location (often to your desktop or Documents folder).
A "Download Progress" box may appear showing the file downloading to your PC. When the download is completed, you may receive a final "Download Complete" indication. You can then CLOSE this dialog box.
Mac Users: iTunes may automatically launch and start playing the file after it's downloaded.
