| Last night, President Bush spoke to the nation on the necessity of swift Congressional action on the seven hundred billion dollar bailout package. After four, Ben Merens and his guest discuss the bailout package compromises under consideration by Congress.
GUESTS: Lawrence J. White is Arthur E. Imperatore Professor of Economics at New York University’s Stern School of Business. While on leave from 1986-1989, he served as Board Member of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board and from 1982-1983 as Director of the Economic Policy Office, Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice. He served on the Senior Staff of the President’s Council of Economic Advisers from 1978- 1979.
U.S. Representative Ron Kind, a Democrat, represents Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District.
