Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had more sharp words for his GOP opponents during a rally Sunday night in West Allis.

The Republican businessman alleged that Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who is ahead of Trump in most polls leading up to Tuesday’s primary, is controlled by lobbyists.

As he was saying as much to the crowd, a supporter yelled out a line that Trump himself often uses: “Lyin’ Ted Cruz!” Trump thanked the audience member.

“Who’s the man who said that? Stand up. Take a bow,” he said.

Trump added: “Ted Cruz is the biggest liar I ever met. I’ve met much tougher people. He is the biggest single liar.”

Trump praised an ad run by an independent group supporting the third GOP candidate, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, calling Cruz a liar. But Trump also urged Kasich to get out of the presidential race.

Security personnel led three protesters out of Trump’s rally. About 10 minutes into Trump’s speech, a man stood up and yelled that the people reject the GOP presidential candidate.

“The people of West Allis reject you. They reject you,” he shouted.

The man was booed by Trump supporters, while Trump himself told him to “get out of here.”

After the man was taken out of the building, Trump said the protest was sad.

“This is what our country is fighting, folks,” he said. “This is what we’re fighting. Guys like that. It’s really sad. It’s really sad.”

Ten minutes later, two more protesters made comments to Trump. They also were led away by security.
