Route 51 enters the world of wolves and prairie chickens. Guests will include wildlife biologists from the DNR: Adrian Wydeven, the state’s top wolf expert who will talk about the removal of the species from the endangered list, and the possibility of a wolf hunt to control their growing population; and Lesa Kardash, the state’s top prairie chicken expert who will look ahead to this weekend’s Prairie Chicken festival at the Mead Wildlife Center near Milladore, and examine the challenges facing the birds on the nearby Buena Vista grasslands.
