During the fifteen years that followed World War I, Germany was a place of rapidly changing politics and cultural turmoil. Sometime called the Weimar Republic, Germany in those years experimented with a democratic government, but soon slid into a dictatorship. What went wrong? As we continue to observe the centennial of onset of World War, we’ll look at one of the miscalculations after the war that supposed to make the world safe for democracy.
