    On Sunday a shootout between biker gangs in Waco, Texas left nine dead and 18 injured, with 170 arrests. In the wake of the violence, some have accused both the police and the media of bias in their responses to the shootings, saying that the police were less combative towards those arrested and the media portrayed the issue as an isolated case. These responses were taken in comparison to responses by the police and media to violence in black communities.
