Sept. 10, 2015: Singers from the Platters, the Drifters, the Temptations and America’s Got Talent

This Thursday, September 10th at 10 am, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 features an hour of live music and lively conversation with four outstanding vocal talents: Joe Blunt of The Drifters, Joe Coleman of The Platters, Glenn Leonard of The Temptations, and Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., winner of the sixth season of NBC’s America’s Got Talent.

Host Glen Moberg will ask the four vocalists about the staying power of the classic rhythm and blues and pop standards of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. The four will also perform some of their signature songs a cappella in our Wisconsin Public Radio studios. Joe Blunt, Joe Coleman, Glenn Leonard, and Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. will be performing later that evening at a special Celebration Concert at SentryWorld in Stevens Point.
