“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. On December 15, 1791, the Bill of Rights (the first ten amendments to the Constitution) was adopted, having been ratified by three-fourths of the states, including the still controversial Second Amendment. What did the founding fathers have in mind when they wrote that amendment into the Bill of Rights and how much leeway is there in interpreting it today. Constitution expert John Kaminski will give us some insight into why the amendment remains so controversial
