Veterans Benefits Expo
A benefit expo for military veterans and their dependents is being held next week in the city of La Crosse. The first-ever event is a one-stop-shop for vets, their spouses and other dependents to learn about the dozens of different benefits that are available to them- everything from housing and job assistance to health care and death benefits.
“My hope is that we do this so well that veterans don’t need it for another two to three years,” La Crosse County Veterans Service Officer Adam Flood said. “But to say that is to take away the aspect that we have new veterans who come here every year, or their lives change.”
The expo runs from 11 am-7 pm on Thursday, March 10 in the La Crosse Center- North Hall.
