Norman interviews soprano Maria Kanyova who will be singing the role of Tatiana in Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin performed by the Madison Symphony Orchestra and the Madison Opera conducted by John DeMain on Friday, November 4th and 6th, 2011 at the Overture Center.
Ms. Kanyova is performing throughout the U.S. in 2011 including company debuts with San Francisco Opera and with the Lyric Opera Kansas City as Pat Nixon in Nixon in China. She will also debut with Tulsa Opera as Cio-Cio San in Madama Butterfly. She recently performed with Madison Opera in its 2011 ‘Opera in the Park? concert. She resides in Chicago.
