This Thursday, January 8th at 10 am, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 profiles the Rotary Clubs of Central Wisconsin, and the public service work they do in their communities. Host Glen Moberg will interview Debi Traeder, Mike Beck and Brad Karger of the Rotary Club of Wausau; Rick Jansing of the Rotary Club of Stevens Point; and Brandon Bodendorfer of the Marshfield Noon Rotary Club. Traeder, Beck and Karger will discuss projects for the Wausau club’s 100th anniversary, including the clean-up of Bluegill Bay pond, a popular fishing spot in Rib Mountain. Jansing will discuss the Stevens Point club’s Post Polio Syndrome project, to find a solution to a condition that affects polio survivors later in life. Bodendorfer will discuss Marshfield’s Rotary Winter Wonderland, which attracts thousands of visitors each year in an effort to feed the hungry. Rotary is an international service organization with more than 1.2 million members worldwide.
