Norman interviewed pianist Ilya Yakushev who played with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra in the Capitol Theater at the Overture Center in Madison on Friday evening, October 7, 2011. The performance included Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
Mr. Yakushev received his first award at age 12 as a prizewinner of the Young Artists Concerto Competition in his native St. Petersburg. He recently released two CDs on the IY-Records label
