Illiteracy

Heard On Route 51

Illiteracy is a problem that’s affecting North Central Wisconsin in many ways: our current level of unemployment, our hopes for economic recovery, and even the quality of our health care. That’s the opinion held by Sarah Halstead and Tom Parker of the Portage County Literacy Council, who are the featured guests on this week’s show. Halstead and Parker are also trying to raise public awareness for the Literacy Council’s fifth annual Un-scrabble fund raiser (April 2nd at the Holiday Inn in Stevens Point).
