On November 30th, political leaders from nearly 200 countries will gather in Paris for a United Nations summit on climate change. The global community has tried before, with limited success, to find ways to limit warming of the planet. Will this time be different? Heating Up is a one-hour special hosted by NPR’s Ari Shapiro. The special examines the current science of climate change, how much time scientists say there is to address it, the political and economic challenges nations will face during the meeting in Paris and what solutions might come from the summit.
