The Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa’s tribal council recently voted not to renew permission for a pipeline, owned by energy firm Enbridge, that passes through 12 miles of their reservation. We speak with a tribal council member about the decision and what’s ahead. One of the creators of the new PBS documentary “Divided States of America” also joins us to discuss why politics has grown more partisan during the Obama years. Plus, we’ll learn about a warning issued by the federal government to the state about roads projects underway.
