Instead, you can hear and encore performance of Wisconsin’s Big River Radio Wave‘s The Best Christmas Show Ever, which was recorded live back in November at the Big River Theater in Alma, WI. Host Mac Cherry and WPR’s Al “Santa” Ross (from the Eau Claire bureau) welcome the folk duet Small Potatoes and the Wave’s house band The RiverBenders, plus regional comedians Tim Harmston, Mary Mack, and Winona, MN orator Taff Roberts.
Big River Radio Wave’s The Best Christmas Show Ever will also be broadcast Christmas Eve at 8 p.m. on WPR’s Ideas Network stations WLBL 91.9 FM Wausau, WLBL 930 AM Auburndale/Stevens Point, WHBM 90.3 FM Park Falls, WHAA 89.1 FM Adams/Wisconsin Rapids, WHRM 90.9-3 HD and WHSF 89.9 FM Rhinelander/Eagle River.
