This week’s guest is Dale Van Atta, the author of an impressive and exhaustive biography of Marshfield native Melvin Laird, entitled “With Honor, Melvin Laird in War, Peace, and Politics.” Van Atta will discuss Laird’s years as a Wisconsin congressman, as Defense Secretary under President Richard Nixon, and his role in making his hometown of Marshfield a worldwide center for health care innovation.
