A jobs survey from Milwaukee-based Manpower Group says Wisconsin has one of the strongest hiring forecasts in the U.S., for the next three months.

Manpower’s hiring picture for the second quarter shows 29 percent of Wisconsin employers surveyed expect to hire workers, while three percent plan layoffs.

Manpower’s Chris Layden said the net employment outlook, now at 26 percent, continues to show growth.

“We’re seeing a five percent increase over just one year ago,” Layden said. “So the momentum we’re carrying into the second quarter of 2015 I think will sustain us for the rest of 2015.”

Layden said all 13 industry sectors in Wisconsin show a positive hiring outlook for the next three months, including government, though about two-thirds of all employers plan no change in staffing. The Wisconsin jobs forecast outpaces Manpower’s picture for the U.S. as a whole.
