WPR Provides Live Coverage of DNR Mining HearingThe Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has scheduled a public informational hearing August 15 on the proposed bulk sampling activity and the preapplication notice to mine at Gogebic Taconite's potential mining project near Mellen, Wisconsin.
The hearing will take place in the Hurley High School Auditorium beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 15th and continue until 8:00 p.m. WPR will provide live coverage of the hearing on 91.3-FM KUWS and 90.9-FM WUWS. There will also be a web stream available at wpr.org so that people outside the coverage area of KUWS and WUWS can listen.
Regional Programs Air at New Times People of Color/Final Edition/Radio SuperiorWith the addition of Central Time to the Ideas Network schedule from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. weekdays, some popular regional programs now start at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.People of Color with Henry Banks now airs at 6:00 on Thursday evening instead of 5:00.
Final Edition is broadcast on Fridays at 6:00 p.m. followed by Radio Superior at 6:30 p.m..
