Wisconsin's wild rice crop appears to be doing well, despite high water levels on northern lakes and rivers this past spring.

While almost 2,000 students will move into their dorms on the campus of University of Wisconsin-Green Bay later this week, the school is also welcoming another newcomer: Chancellor Gary Miller, who began work earlier this month.

Following four years of installation, several far northern Wisconsin communities now have high-speed Internet that’s as fast as metropolitan-area connections.
