INTENT
The program serves as a resource for the Hmong listening area, providing information and news on the local, state, national, and international level that pertains directly to the Hmong. The program also presents community calendar events, traditional and contemporary Hmong music, and interviews with doctors, lawyers, politicians, and other field experts.
HISTORY
The HMONG PUBLIC RADIO program is produced by a dedicated group of volunteers who are active members of the Hmong community. It was created in 1985 to serve the 10,000 Hmong who live in northeastern Wisconsin. The program is made possible by the cooperation of Wisconsin Public Radio and the Hmong communities.
