Patty Murray

E-Mail

Patty Murray is Wisconsin Public Radio's reporter in Green Bay. She covers an array of stories from across Northeastern Wisconsin.

Her career began in college when she got a part time job at a Public Radio station. It was while running the board during "All Things Considered" that Patty realized the powerful imagery of radio. She says, "listening to NPR reporters' use of sound and story telling taught me more than hours of my professors' lectures."

After working for several years at various commercial radio stations, Patty returned to Public Broadcasting in 1996 when she came to WPR. Since then she has contributed stories to National Public Radio, the Voice of America, and a number of regional radio services.

Her work has been recognized by such professional organizations as the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association and the Milwaukee Press Club.
