Wisconsin Public Radio - Eau Claire Welcomes Spring Interns
Four students have begun spring internships with WPR in Eau Claire.
Underwriting intern Amber Kroening studies Advertising at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. Amber has a passion for poetry and aspires to have her own original work published. Amber will be responsible for entering orders from corporate donors, conducting client research and writing copy. Amber will graduate from UW-Eau Claire this spring and is from Athens, WI.
Hillary Crusan, of Grafton, is a Junior at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire studying Public Relations and Religious Studies. Hillary participates in two professional organizations on campus. As WPR's Publicity Intern, Hillary will spend this spring writing weekly news releases and maintaining the organization's social media sites. Hillary started her WPR experience last fall as a public relations volunteer for 89.7 WUEC's Blugold Radio.
Liz Hebert, of Tomahawk, will graduate from UW-River Falls in May with a bachelor's degree in International Studies. Liz hopes to pursue a job in international tourism after graduation and has a personal passion for traveling. Liz has actively helped to coordinate a number of events at UW-River Falls and is looking forward to helping plan this spring's Listener Dinner as our Event Planning Intern.
Hannah Weikel, of St. Williams Bay, is a Journalism major and women's studies minor at the UW-Eau Claire. Hannah looks forward to preparing reports, researching issues and booking guests for use on The West Side as the News Reporting intern this spring. Hannah joins WPR-Eau Claire after contributing to WUEC-FM 89.7. Hannah hopes to continue to work in public radio in either Wisconsin or Minnesota after graduation.
