The long-awaited effort to recall Governor Walker begins today.Opponents of the governor have until January 17th to raise more than 540-thousand signiatures in order to force an election sometime next spring or summer.

Recall supporters are encouraged by the recent referendum in Ohio, where voters got to reject Wisconsin-style limits on public union bargaining.But an expert on recalls says there are many factors to consider.

He’s UW-Madison political scientist Barry Burden, and he joins us now with more.
