GOP Presidential Contenders Face Off In Primetime Debate

The top Republican presidential contenders will face off on Tuesday night for a two-hour televised debate in Milwaukee.

The debate — the fourth in the young election season — is sponsored by Fox Business Channel and will begin at 8 p.m. Central time and delve into the major issues that will frame the presidential race next year. The debate is being held at the Milwaukee Theatre.

Eight candidates will be included in the debate: real estate mogul Donald Trump, neurosurgeon Ben Carson, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and U.S. Sens. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.

Four other candidates who didn’t make the main debate have been relegated to an earlier “undercard” debate at the theater. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee are among the four.
