A New Minimum Wage - Many lawmakers are calling for a new minimum wage. This week, Sen. HIV Prevention Drugs and ACT UP! - A recent report suggests that 1 in 2 gay men under age 30 will contract the HIV virus by age 50. A troubling statistic, that Kathleen's guests want to change. Mark Milano has been an HIV Health and Treatment Educator for over 20 years, and says that proven HIV prevention drugs exist and work to stop the spread of the virus, if people can access them. Members of ACT UP NYC will also be our guest to talk about what they're doing to bring attention to this issue.

Worker Cooperatives - Worker cooperatives are workplaces that are owned and controlled by the people who work in them. The two central characteristics are that workers invest in and own the business and decision-making is democratic. Many worker cooperatives exist right here in Wisconsin, and Kathleen's guest, Rebecca Kemble, President of US Federation of Worker Cooperatives will help explain what they are and how they operate.
