Walker Breaks Photo-Op Record; Reporters On Pace For Irrelevant-Question Record

By

Governor Scott Walker has set a photo-op record previously held by the late Governor Lee Dreyfus. Meanwhile reporters are on a record pace for asking questions not pertinent to the photo-ops.

Appearing at the Racine Rocket Woosh Works, the governor hoped to promote his “jobs, jobs, maybe, possibly jobs” agenda. Instead, Walker was confronted by several disheveled reporters, as reporters usually are. The Governor’s spokesman interceded.

Spokesman: “Nope. Not talking about Asian Carp.”

Reporter 1: “Come on!”

Sp: “Nope.”

Rep 2: “Please?”

Sp: “Look, he’s wearing a hard hat, tinted safety goggles and steel toed shoes. It’s a darn neat picture.”

On a family farm tour yesterday, reporters grilled him about Act 11, ending winter earlier. Walker wouldn’t talk about a run for president.

Spo: Nope! We’re talking about rutabagas, the new job crop.

Rep: “Come on, Werwie”

Spo:“He’s wearing bib overalls for crying out loud. Do you know how hard it was to get him in bib overalls? Do you know how hard it’ll be to get him out of bib overalls?”

Saturday, Walker got in the ring with an extreme mixed martial arts champ at the LCO Casino.

Rep1: “Will he sell Beloit to Illinois?”

Spo: “Look. He’s padded up, wearing Spandex, and in a steel cage with Toivo “The Apple Knocker” Tuskinen. It’s a great shot!”

In just the 91st day of the year, Walker has appeared at 25 machine shops, 22 tourism conferences – where he donned sunglasses, shorts and a tank top – 18 virtual classrooms – where it is not known what he wore – 16 cranberry bogs, 15 pow wows in full head-dress and chaps, four hair solons and two courtrooms.

Meanwhile, Democrats are picking up the governor’s cue. Tim Cullen appeared at the Bartender’s Association Beer-off Sunday, clad in striped pants and a striped shirt under his apron, Cullen was busy making boilermakers.

The 102 public appearances eclipse Dreyfus’s record in 1983, when he made 101 appearances, mostly in coffee shops, book stores, and wine and cheese bars. He of course, was clad in his red vest and shorts, or pants, depending on the locale.
