The Green Bay Packers lost the NFC Championship on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Seattle Seahawks 28-22 in overtime.

Ironically, the Packers dominated the Seahawks offensively and defensively well into the fourth quarter. However, the Seahawks scored two touchdowns within the final three minutes of regulation play, resulting in a tie and forcing the game into overtime.

The Seahawks then took possession of the ball and ended the game after quarterback Russell Wilson connected with wide receiver Jermaine Kearse for a 35-yard touchdown pass.

“It just sucks. This is going to leave a scar,” said Randy Sherman, a Packers fan who watched the game from Lenny’s Tap in Green Bay’s Broadway District.

The Packers’ season is now over. The Seahawks, on the other hand, have earned a spot in Super Bowl 49, to be played on Feb. 1 in Glendale, Arizona. They are the defending champions, having defeated the Denver Broncos in last year’s matchup 43-8.
