President Barack Obama will tell the nation tonight on radio and TV what his strategy will be to fight the Islamic State group.
U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., has said that Obama should be committed to destroying the group, which is also known as ISIS or ISIL.
“We’ve witnessed here in America that ISIS does not seem to be a group of individuals that you can negotiate with,” said Johnson. “Their diplomacy consists of, as we have witnessed in barbaric fashion, the beheadings, crucifixions, (and) reports of mass executions.”

Johnson, who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said that Obama’s assertion that it may take three years to defeat the group is wrong. He said the U.S. and coalition countries need to eliminate the group as soon as possible.
Obama will speak on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. His address will be carried live on Wisconsin Public Radio and will stream live on WPR.org.
