Al Ross was born and raised in the Fox Valley. In 1970, Ross started his broadcast career in Michigan and moved to Milwaukee in 1983 to work as creative director for Sundance Broadcasting. During that time, he also hosted "AM Milwaukee," a morning talk show on WOKY.
Ross moved to Tampa, Flordia, in 1988 to work as creative director for Cox Communications. In 1990, he moved back to Wisconsin to work as creative director for Central Radio Group, now known as Maverick Media, in Eau Claire. In 1993, Ross began his own business as an independent producer.
