RIBBLE RE-ELECTED IN THE 8TH DISTRICT WPR News - Ribble Re-elected in the 8th District
Wednesday November 07, 2012 by Patty Murray

Reid Ribble has won a second term in the House of Representatives.  The northeastern Wisconsin Republican says his next term will require consensus from both parties.

Ribble won by a healthy margin over Democratic challenger Jamie Wall.  It was a bright spot for Republicans at a rally in Green Bay last night, after that party saw top ticket names lose.

Ribble says it will be a different congress during his second term.

"It almost looks like the House of Representatives is going to get redder and the senate is going to get bluer," he says.  "Which is an unusual circumstance.  So I need some time to ponder what the American people are trying to say.  What's the message they're trying to send with this divided government they're sending to Washington."

Ribble says his top priority remains the same: moving the country toward a balanced budget.
