(MADISON) Another Democrat who considered running for governor has endorsed Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett in the Democratic gubernatorial primary.
Assembly Democratic Minority Leader Peter Barca says he's been friends with Barrett for 28 years. They lived together when they were both in Congress.
Barca says nobody is more honest or has higher integrity than Barrett, "At a time when more than ever in this state we need to restore clean, open and transparent government, almost more important than the issues we're dealing with, he offers us that promise and that potential to restore Wisconsin's values to that very vital part of our heritage."
Barrett faces former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, State Sen. Kathleen Vinehout and Secretary of State Doug La Follette in the May 8th Democratic primary.
