WISCONSIN'S GOVERNOR WALKER SAYS HIS KIDS HOPE TO GO TO COLLEGE
WPR News - Wisconsin's Governor Walker says his kids hope to go to college
Friday April 20, 2012 by Chuck Quirmbach
(BROOKFIELD) Gov. Walker continues to tout the value of blue-collar jobs like machinist. But he says his two sons hope to go to a four-year college. The governor has been campaigning at factories and promoting the need for skilled labor to fill open manufacturing jobs. He made the pitch again Thursday, (4/19) while speaking to primarily blue collar workers at a factory in Brookfield. Then Walker, as he often does during public appearances, mentioned his two high school age sons. Since walker brought up the topics of his sons and careers, he was asked in a later interview about the young men's plans for after high school. Walker says he's also encouraged his sons to talk to their high school classmates about the value of a technical college education.
